Appointments and procedures

Appointment: Microneedling treatment packages are available to patients whom have completed a visit with Dr Kennett.

Procedures: First we cleanse the skin and apply a numbing agent. During the procedure you may experience mild discomfort which resolves when needling is complete. Needling time varies though typically lasts 40 mins with 15 mins skin preparation and 5 minute post procedure care.

Recovery time and follow up

Recovery time: The amount of downtime can vary from 1-3 days. During the first 24 hours you may feel heat and redness, much like a sunburn. From 24-72 hours post procedure you may experience some dryness and peeling of the skin.

Follow up: For microneedling of the face: 3 treatments are recommended spaced a minimum of 6 weeks apart. For microneedling of the scalp: 6-8 treatments are recommended spaced 1-2 weeks apart.
